120. Seana - (Kh. Sihan)

This village, attested only on the Madaba map, is identical with Hirbat Sihan, 6 km southeast of Gaza.

Kh. Sihan, Tell Sihan, Seana

Following the Madaba Map, ancient Seana is to be located in this area: the khirbeh which preserves its name is 10 kilometers southeast of Gaza. The SWP (III, p. 252) reports ruins and cisterns. The Schedule (no. 1318) adds also marble fragments.
