The Holy City of Jerusalem. Panoramic view from the Mount of Olives

Panoramic view of Jerusalem

Mount Sion - detail
The Temple Mount - detail
Getsemane - detail

The City of Jerusalem, as can be seen today from the top of the Mount of Olives, may well look somehow different from that of Sophronius'time. It was then the beginning of the 7th century A.D., we are now at the dawn of the 2nd millennium, nevertheless in the pilgrim's eye Jerusalem still keeps the same fair beauty of old times.
